Kincade Fire
Evacuation WARNINGS for the Cobb Mountain Area and MIddletown Area have been lifted.
On Wednesday 6:30 pm at a status meeting in Middletown, Calfire reported that good progress was being made, with containment up to 60%. At present the main activity is in the Middletown area. They reported that they have all the air support they need, including the exclusive use of the Boeing 747 tanker. Sheriff Brian Martin said that although the fire was presenting no immediate danger to Lake county, the evacuation warnings were being kept in place. In the event of a mandatory evacuation alerts will be sent via Nixle, Hi-Lo sirens will be used, and door-to-door notifications will be made.
