Hope you were able to make it the Finley Grange for some GREAT food, company, and music!  It was a good night of fun with friends.

AWESOME dancing music was provided by Without a Net.  The dance floor was never empty.  The food was FABULOUS!  The costumes were WONDERFUL!  Check out our Facebook page for pictures of some of the attendees.

If you were not able to attend, make sure to set the date aside next year!  You won’t be sorry.

Get your Halloween costume ready!  Herb Gura’s band, Without a Net, will be performing a benefit concert for KPFZ at the Finley Grange on Halloween, October 31, 2015.  Tee Watts is the MC.

Meet the KPFZ folk – programmers, members, and listeners – at the KPFZ Halloween Party.  The fun starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m.  at the Big Valley Grange.  The Big Valley Grange is located at 1510 Big Valley Road in Finley.  Prizes will be awarded for the Most Incredible Costume, the Best Couple Costume, and the Most Creative Costume.  Bring a dish to share for dinner.  There will be a no-host bar featuring beer and wine.

Entry is $12 for KPFZ members (remember to bring your membership card) and $15 for non-members.

Barry Melton Band – a benefit concert for KPFZ

KPFZ hopes you can join us for a benefit concert by the Barry Melton Band featuring Barry “The Fish” Melton of Country Joe and the Fish fame.  A piece of rock and roll history with an incredible band including “Banana” from the Youngbloods, drummer extraordinaire Roy Blumenfield from the Blues Project, and others.

The concert is on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Soper-Reese Theatre located at 275 South Main Street in Lakeport, CA.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m.  The Show starts at 7:00 p.m.  And the dance floor will be open!

Tickets are available online or at the Soper-Resse Theatre box office or at the Travel Center at 1265 S. Main Street in Lakeport.  KPFZ members are eligible for a discount on ticket purchases.

Benefit Concert featuring Jim Malcolm

KPFZ is pleased to announce that Jim Malcolm is performing a benefit concert on Friday, January 30, 2015.  The concert will be held at the Arts Council Gallery, 325 North Main Street in Lakeport.  The performance starts at 7:30 p.m.

Jim Malcolm is the ultimate Scots troubadour.  Travelling the world with his guitar, harmonicas, and engaging wit, he sings the traditional songs of Scotland and his own masterfully crafted songs in a style which is modern and accessible, yet utterly authentic.  He is highly regarded as an interpreter of the songs of Rober Burns, and has been described as “one of the finest singers in Scotland in any style”.

Roy Zimmerman Benefit Concert January 10, 2015

Singer-songwriter and socio-political satirist Roy Zimmerman will perform in a benefit concert for KPFZ.  The concert will be on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. at the Schoolhouse Museum in Lower Lake.

Roy Zimmerman sings satirical songs – original songs about class warfare, creationism, ignorance, war, greed, and other current topics.  Releasing twelve albums over twenty years, he brings his brand of satire to the struggle for peace and social justice.   Roy has a lot of new material for us.

Tickets are $18 for KPFZ members and $20 for non-members.  Tickets are available at Catfish Coffeeshop in Clearlake and Watershed Books in Lakeport or by calling Herb Gura at 707/350-1150 or KPFZ at 707/263-3640.  The Schoolhouse Museum is an intimate setting with only 100 seats.  The Museum is located at 16435 Main street in Lower Lake.

There will be a no-host bar and refreshments will be available.
