KPFZ Benefit Concert with MaMuse on Saturday, July 22 at 7 p.m.

Join KPFZ as we welcome MaMuse to the Big Valley Hall in Finley on Saturday, July 22nd at 7 p.m.

With deep roots in the folk and gospel traditions, and their hearts in the present, MaMuse, Sarah Nutting and Karisha Lonaker, create uplifting muic.

Big Valley Hall is located at 1510 Big Valley Road in Lakeport.

KPFZ Holiday Open House on Sunday, December 17 from 1 - 5 p.m.

Celebrate the holiday season with KPFZ on Sunday December 17 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.  There will be singing, dancing, and a good time to be had by all!

We are hosting our annual Holiday Open House.  Come and meet the KPFZ Programmers, staff, and volunteers.  Bring something to share for the potluck with other KPFZ listeners.  If you have never been to the KPFZ Studio, this is a great time to see the station in action.

The KPFZ Studio is located at 149 North Main Street in Lakeport.  Come up the stairs and turn right.

Lake County Community Radio is a locally owned and operated non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization.

Harvest Fund Drive on Saturday, November 11

KPFZ’S HARVEST FUND DRIVE is coming up on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11!

Programmers will be at the station asking for your generous donations all day! We really need your help this year; Our reserves are keeping us going. 

We'll be on hand to take your donations. You are invited to stop by in the afternoon to give KPFZ your energy and support.  Times are hard—Please don't forget your community radio station!

Call that day for Credit Card membership sign-ups or renewals at 707.263.3640.  Mail Checks to: KPFZ, PO BOX 446, LAKEPORT, CA 95453.  Drop off your membership form at 149 N. Main Street in Lakeport.  If you prefer to donate on line, go to kpfz.org/Support/Membership.  You do not need to be a PayPal member to sign up online.

KPFZ Benefit Concert Featuring The Higher Logic Project on Saturday, November 18, 2017

Clear your calendar for KPFZ’s upcoming fundraiser! 

On Saturday, November 18, 2017, Higher Logic Project, a local acclaimed Reggae band, will perform an acoustic concert at the Lion’s Club, 4335 Sylar Ln, Kelseyville.     Blazing out of Northern California, The Higher Logic Project is a high-energy reggae inspired dance rock group that represents the emerging artistic counterculture.   Move your mind, body, and soul with the seamlessly blending musical genres that are The Higher Logic Project.

The concert starts at  7 pm and runs until 10 pm.  Doors open at 6 pm.   Snacks, Beer and Wine are available for purchase.   There will also be a 50/50 raffle.  Tickets are available at the door: $18 for the general public, $15  for KPFZ members.  Make sure you have your KPFZ membership card with you.

Benefit Concert for KPFZ

Scottish Folk singers Alan Reid and Rob Van Sante will be coming to Lake County to perform a benefit concert for KPFZ 88.1 FM, Lake County Community Radio.  Both Reid and Van Sante are former members of the well known Scottish group, The Battlefield Band which was recently inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame. 

The concert will be on Saturday, April 29th at 7:30 pm at the Fore Family Winery Tasting Room located at 3920 Main St. in Kelseyville.  Tickets are $22.  KPFZ members receive a $2 discount. Tickets are available at Watershed Books located at 350 N. Main St. in Lakeport or at Fore Family Winery.

KPFZ Annual Spring Fun-A-Thon Starts on April 22nd

KPFZ's annual Spring Fun-A-Thon starts on Saturday, April 22nd at 12:01 a.m. with Peter, host of Wicked Good.  The fun ramps up more  because instead of shows being rebroadcast, they will be LIVE.  At 3:00 a.m. when KPFZ's own Rocker Chicks, Q and Deb, will be LIVE in the Studio along with their peanut gallery.  At 7:00 a.m., Stu, host of Surface Noise, will also be LIVE in the Studio to keep the ball up in the air.

Join us at the Studio on Saturday, April 22.  Bring a goodie to share with others at the Open House.  This is a great chance to meet other members, programmers, and volunteers.  

KPFZ depends on memberships and donations to stay on the air.  Annual memberships are $50 with a Family membership available at $100.  There is a Sustaining Member option which has a monthly amount charged to your credit or debit card (minimum amount is $10/mo) for the year.  Stop by the KPFZ office at 149 S. Main Street in Lakeport to pay your membership and/or receive your pledge premium.  You can also mail your membership form and check to KPFZ, PO Box 446, Lakeport, CA 95453.  There is also a membership page on the website at http://kpfz.org/Support/Membership.  Lake County Community Radio, KPFZ, is a 501(c)(3) organization.  All donations are tax deductible.  Members receive a discount when purchasing tickets to KPFZ events.

Volunteers are needed to assist with this event - from answering phones to helping raise funds on the air.  If you are interested in volunteering, call the KPFZ office at 707/263.3640.  Or just drop in anytime during the week and we'll put you to work.
