Thank You For Resolving KPFZ's Transmission Issues

KPFZ Transmission Repair HeroesA huge THANK YOU to Simon Frech and Brad King for resolving the KPFZ transmission issues.

Simon (on the left in the picture) is the technical director of KMUD in Garberville.  Simon heard about our issues and drove here to see if he could help us out.  He and Brad King (on the right in the picture), host of KPFZ's Unherd Radio every Tuesday from 7-9 p.m., started troubleshooting.  

They climbed up on the studio roof and located the problem.  Even better, they fixed the issue.  See the second photo for the issue.  

So when it rains, you still should be able to hear KPFZ on the FM band at 88.1, thanks to Simon and Brad.

Roy Zimmerman writes "funny songs about ignorance, war and greed" according to his website bio, www.royzimmerman.com   Roy has been bringing his politcal satire to people across America for over 20 years.  Roy’s songs are often played on progressive radio by Stephanie Miller, Bill Press, Randi Rhodes, Thom Hartmann, and others. His Songs of the Week are spun regularly by folk music DJ’s across the country and he’s a frequent guest on Sirius Radio’s syndicated show “West Coast Live.”

December Board of Directors Meeting Rescheduled to Wednesday, January 4, 2017

The December Board Of Directors meeting is rescheduled for Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 6:15 p.m.

Board members meet upstairs in the KPFZ office at 149 North Main Street in Lakeport. The public is always encouraged and welcome to attend. Public input for items not on the agenda is available at the beginning of the meeting – up to 3 minutes. Please check the comments section of this post or KPFZ at 707/263-3640 for meeting agendas and any updates.

P-A-R-T-Y!!! on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the KPFZ Studio

Come join KPFZ Programmers, staff, listeners, and underwriters at our annual Holiday Party on Saturday, December 10, 2016.  The festivities begin at 12 Noon and continue on until 5:00 p.m.  The PARTY is at the KPFZ Studios located at 149 N. Main Street in Lakeport.

Bring a friend and dish, snack, or beverage to share with the other party attendees.  There will be music and singing...who knows, maybe there will even be some dancing!  There will be opportunities to see old friends and make new friends.

Because of some unexpected expenses, KPFZ is also hosting a Stuff-A-Stocking to help raise some additional funds.  We're hoping you can share some of the season of giving to help keep us on the air and help us stuff our stocking!  Suggested donation is $5.
