Our guest was Joe Ruffatto of Bamboo Sourcery. We discussed growing bamboo, and its uses.

We mentioned the invasiveness of this plant. I followed up with Angela DePalma-Dow, invasive species coordinator for the County of Lake. She said that although there are currently no regulations concerning these plants, it is inadvisable to plant them near waterways, and it is preferable to plant clumping varieties.
