The annual, weeklong KPFZ FUN-a-thon starts on Saturday, April 14 and continues through the end of the broadcast day on Friday, April 20th.  Lake County Community Radio depends on this fundraiser for the majority of its annual operating budget.  Even though KPFZ is an all volunteer organization, there are still expenses including tower rental fees, studio rent, PG&E, and equipment maintenance, to name a few.

Annual membership levels start at $50 for an individual up to $200 for a business.  Members receive a discount on KPFZ event tickets.  KPFZ is a 501(c)(3) organization so your membership donation could be tax deductible.  There are several ways to join or renew your membership.  Sign-up online by clicking here.  Print a membership form to register by USPS mail.  Mail the completed form along with your payment to KPFZ 88.1 FM, POB 446, Lakeport, CA 95453.  Call the KPFZ office at 707/263.3640 to join over the phone.

The FUN-a-thon kicks off at 7 a.m. on Saturday.  Stu, host of Surface Noise, will be in the studio for a live show instead of the ususal rebroadcast.  Rumor has it he will have a couple of special guests on the show!  The fun continues throughout the day and all the way through Friday evening.  If you've never seen the station or even if you have, come on by at 149 North Main Street.  This is a great time to meet the KPFZ programmers, volunteers, and fellow listeners.  Bring a snack or beverage to share with other listeners.

Volunteers are needed to help answer the pledge phone lines, solicit funds, and more.  If you are interested in volunteering, call 707/263.3640 or stop by the studio.

Thank you for making KPFZ community radio!
