Continuing our focus on services for "older adults" and caregivers in our community, today we will explore the resources we have such as In-Home Supportive Services and the organizations who are sponsoring or supporting new state legislation for IHSS "consumers" -- disabled adults eligible for limited forms of assistance and burdened with the responsibility of learning skills they need to make those forms of assistance work for them -- and programs that govern "workers" with minimum wage and pusillanimous benefits under federal and state laws.
