LAKE COUNTY COMMUNITY RADIO Meeting Minutes from MARCH 19, 2026
I.  Call to order at 6:25 by Olga Martin Steele
Board Members Present: Dwain Goforth, Richie Higgins, Susan Krones, Olga Martin-Steele, John Moorhead, Paula Mune
Guests: Dennis Booth, John Saare, Chloe Karl, David Lark, Danny Wind
Absent: Linda Kelly
This meeting was conducted in person and on Zoom.
II. Public Input: Danny Wind will be filling out an application to be on the board.
III. Approval of Minutes – Minutes from February will be reviewed next meeting.    
IV. Treasurer’s Report – Current Balance is $10,500.00. 
V. Underwriting – No report on underwriting. 
VI. Office Report - Dennis Booth reported that MediaCom came in to fix some equipment.  Chloe said that our streaming has been in and out.
VII. Committee Reports: 
a. Program Committee – a. Chloe Karl reminded us that people who do public affairs programs must submit report to FCC by the end of the month. There was a reminder that every programmer needs to do the proper station ID at the top of the hour.  Station ID is KPFZ, 88.1 FM Lakeport. 
 b. Website/Studio Report- David Lark said website is doing okay.  Lark wants to create a page for each Programmer.
 c. Station Operations – Production Team includes John Saare, Dennis Booth, David Lark.  
 VIII. New Business: a. Upcoming Events – a. Celtic Rock Band Tempest on Saturday April 4, 2026.  Andy Memorial on May 8th 2026 at the Oddfellows Hall.  There will be music and fundraising.  b. Fund drive will be on the air April 18 and 25th.  Both days are Saturdays and will be on the air pitching.  c. Blues concert is set for August 8, 2026 at the Soper Reese. Band GasMoney will be performing sometime in September for a fundraiser. d. Survey – Moorhead will send out information about survey for next meeting. e. Politics on the Air – Election time is coming up.  For local elections it is KPFZ policy that if a programmer is running they can’t be on the air doing their show.  We also should try to provide equal coverage of the candidates for each position so that we provide equal coverage if the candidates want to be on KPFZ shows. 
Next Meeting will be Thursday, 4/16/26 @ 6:15 pm via Zoom and at the station.  Meeting Adjourned – 7:27 p.m.
