July 2017 Schedule Changes
Submitted by alanf-admin on Mon, 05/22/2017 - 7:00pmThere are a lot of program changes -- some already implemented, and some in the works.
Soul Food (with Corey Jones) is now live on Sundays at 8 am. Pulse Pangea (with Lisa Lehmer) gets a repeat on Fridays at 9 pm.
Tee Watts has retired from programming, for health reasons. All of us at KPFZ would like to express our gratitude, and wish him the best possible outcome. Tee is still on the LCCR board. His "Cybersoulman Review" is being continued, in his honor, as "Doc's R&B Review", Tuesday 3 pm, replaying Wednesday 7 pm. Tee's 5 am Sunday morning show Redemption Songs will play old shows from the archives.
The Taira St John Show and New Dimensions swap days : Taira on Tuesdays 2-3 pm, New Dimensions on Wednesday. New Dimensions also gets a replay, replacing Christian Perspective (at least for the summer) 8 am Sunday.
"The Grooveyard Shift" has been replaced by replays of "Big Heart/Big Art" and "Kila the Magic Husky" shows, and is then off-air after 1am.
Alternate Currents is replaced by The Thom Hartman Program, 9 am Wednesday ... a pre-recorded nationally syndicated call-in show.
Donna's new music show is The Coffee Girl, airing 7-9 am Monday and repeating 8-10 pm Saturday.
Three additional new shows are in the pipeline, pending scheduling and staffing. (If you want to help ... volunteer as a board operator!)
If you spot an error in the schedule, please use the contact form and select "Web Master".
As Andy reported to the board : "Whew!"
